Declaring a Sale Taxable or Nontaxable

This article will outline the steps to marking a sale as taxable or nontaxable. Note this will add or remove tax from all items in an single sale.

Preconditions are the necessary settings, permissions, and items created in your software to allow the feature to work.

• Access to the Sales module.

Steps:

Follow the below steps to declare a sale as taxable or nontaxable:

1. Add Items to your cart. All sales start with tax added.

2. Check or uncheck the box that reads "Taxable". The shopping cart will update automatically.

A: Please review your state and local laws to determine what sales are eligible for a Nontaxable status. You will be responsible for any sales that had sales tax removed incorrectly.
