Overview
This article will outline the steps necessary to open a ticket, send items to the kitchen, split a ticket, close a ticket, and add a tip.
Open a Ticket and Send Items to Kitchen
Follow the steps below to open an F&B ticket and send the items to the kitchen:
- Log into the F&B module
- To start a ticket, you can either select an open table or, you can click "+New Tab" if the ticket doesn't need to be associated with a table (e.g.: To go orders, bar orders, etc.)
- Once a ticket has been opened, add the appropriate items to the ticket from the menu options
- To send the items to the kitchen, click the "Select All" button to select all items from the ticket and then click "Send" in the top right (NOTE: if you don't need to select all items from the ticket, you can click on each item on the ticket and then click "Send" to only send the selected items to the kitchen)
- Items sent to the kitchen will appear in a gray color as seen below
If the items on the ticket do not need to be split for payment purposes, skip to the Close Ticket section below. If the ticket does need to be split for multiple payment purposes, follow the Split a Ticket section below.
Split a Ticket
Follow the steps below to split a ticket:
- Once the ticket has been selected, click the green 'Pay Now/Split" button on the left
- Click "+New Receipt" as many times as you have paying customers (If the ticket needs is going to be paid by 3 people, click the button twice to add two additional tickets for a total of 3)
- Once you have added the additional tickets, you can now either move an item(s) to the other ticket(s), or, split an item across tickets.
- To move an entire item to a new ticket, make sure you 'Move' option at the top has been selected, and then click on the item(s) in the ticket you wish to move
- Once you have selected the item(s) you wish to move, click into the new ticket to move those selected item(s)
- To split an item(s) across tickets, make sure the 'Split' option at the top has been selected, and then click on the item(s) in the ticket you wish to split
- Once you have selected the item(s) you wish to split, click into the new ticket to split those selected item(s)
Close a Ticket
Follow the steps below to close out a ticket:
- If the ticket has not been split:
- If you wish to add a customer, click the blue "Customers" button at the top, search and select the desired customer
- Click the blue "Print Receipt" button on the left to print out a receipt to take to the customer
- Once the payment method has been collected, click on one of the green payment buttons on the left to accept payment on that ticket
- Once payment had been accepted, a completed receipt will print out (Note: if a credit card or member balance was used as the payment method, the receipt printed will have a tip line and a signature line for the customer to fill out)
- If the ticket has been split:
- Pull the ticket up and click "Pay Now/Split"
- If you wish to add a customer to each ticket, click on the blue "Customers" button at the top of each ticket to search and add a customer
- Click "Print" for each ticket to print out a receipt to take back to the customers
- Once the payment method(s) has been collected, click the blue "Pay" button on each ticket to complete payment for each ticket
- Once payment had been accepted, a completed receipt will print out (Note: if a credit card or member balance was used as the payment method, the receipt printed will have a tip line and a signature line for the customer to fill out)
Adding a Tip
Follow the steps below to add a tip to your completed ticket:
- Once the customer has finished filling out the receipt with a signature and a tip, click on "Recent Transactions" in the top right of the F&B module
- Find the transaction in the list and click the green "Add Tip" button
- Choose the appropriate tip type using the "Type" dropdown (e.g.: Cash, credit card, member balance, etc.) and add the tip amount to the "Amount" field
- Click "Apply Tip"
