How to Setup a Kitchen Buzzer

Overview:

You can setup a kitchen buzzer to go off when kitchen receipts are printed. This article will go over the setup. (NOTE: Some kitchen buzzers may only be compatible with certain printers)(Please test your kitchen buzzer following to below steps to determine compatibility)

Preconditions:

Preconditions are the necessary settings, permissions, and items created in your software to allow the feature to work.

• Access to the following modules:
  • Food & Beverage
  • Settings

Steps:

Follow the below steps to setup a kitchen buzzer: 

1. Plug your buzzer into your kitchen printer using the "phone jack" port on the back of the printer. (NOTE: Ethernet port is larger than the phone jack port)

2. Go into 'Settings'.

3. Select the 'Sales' tab and click on the 'Food & Beverage'.

4. Click the box next to 'use kitchen buzzers'.

5. Click "Save Settings" at the top right of the screen to save your changes.
