This article outlines some of the frequently asked questions we receive about training!
How long is a training session? How will it be conducted?
Training sessions are limited to no longer than 60-minutes. We've found that anything beyond this isn't effective. Training sessions are conducted over the phone and through a screenshare. The screenshare link will be provided by your Account Manager at the beginning of your training session.
What is the structure of a training session?
Training sessions are interactive and ultimately driven by your questions. The training videos (CLICK HERE) cover about 80% of the day-to-day operational tasks/how-to's. We want training sessions to be focused on the 20% that is not covered in those videos.
For example, reporting. Each facility has different reporting needs. We want to discuss this with you and point out reports that you would use. We want training sessions to be focused on specific use-cases you sometimes run into at your course, not general software how-to's.
How do I best prepare for a training session?
The best way to prepare for a training session is by watching the training videos and practice, practice, practice. You can practice using a demo account. If you don't have access to a demo account, please notify your Account Manager.
Practicing will help confirm what you know and indicate what you're struggling with. For the items you're struggling with, share them with the Account Manager who will be conducting your training. They will help you get to where you need to be.
Is there a limit to the number of trainings I can have?
No, we can conduct as many trainings as you need.
Who should attend training sessions?
The training sessions you will participate in are high-level, Admin user trainings. As such, Managers and Admins are encouraged to attend.
We do not typically train frontline employees. You know your operation best. We will help you understand how foreUP will fit in with your operation at a high-level. In turn, you will assist your frontline employees with understanding how to use foreUP for each of their roles. Frontline employees are encouraged to use the same training materials you have access to (videos and demo account). We are happy to help and assist as needed but highly encourage that frontline employees be trained by you.
