Understanding The Calendar Pricing Structure
Calendar pricing is built around increments. An increment represents the smallest reservable block of time.
Example
| Increment Length | Reservation Options |
|---|---|
| 60 Minutes | 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM |
| 30 Minutes | 10:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM |
⚙️ Note: Reservation increments are controlled at the Day Template level.
Pricing Is Tied to Increments
Pricing is assigned per increment.
The total reservation price increases based on the number of increments booked.
Example
| Increment | Increment Price | Reservation Length | Total Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30 Minutes | $25 | 30 Minutes | $25 |
| 30 Minutes | $25 | 60 Minutes | $50 |
| 30 Minutes | $25 | 90 Minutes | $75 |
⚙️ Note: Pricing automatically scales based on selected reservation length.
Cross-Timeframe Pricing
Calendars supports pricing across multiple pricing windows within a single reservation.
Example
| Timeframe | Price |
|---|---|
| Before 5:00 PM | $25 per increment |
| After 5:00 PM | $40 per increment |
If a customer books:
- 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
- Using 30-minute increments
Pricing becomes:
| Time Segment | Price |
|---|---|
| 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM | $25 |
| 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM | $40 |
| Total | $65 |
⚙️ Note: Cross-timeframe pricing is automatically calculated during checkout.

Handling Peak vs Off-Peak Pricing
Peak pricing allows operators to charge higher rates during high-demand periods.
Common peak periods include:
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Holidays
- Prime simulator hours
Example Peak Pricing Structure
| Timeframe | Increment Price |
|---|---|
| 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | $25 |
| 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM | $40 |
This structure increases pricing during high-demand evening hours.
Configure Peak vs Off-Peak Pricing
To configure variable pricing:
- Open the desired season
- Create multiple pricing timeframes
- Assign unique pricing to each timeframe
- Save changes
Recommended Structure
| Period | Suggested Use |
|---|---|
| Morning | Lower traffic pricing |
| Afternoon | Standard pricing |
| Evening | Peak pricing |
| Weekend | Premium pricing |
💡 Tip: Use shorter increments during peak periods to maximize booking flexibility.
Pricing Is Increment-Based Only
Limitation
Pricing cannot vary within the same increment structure without separate timeframes.
Example
You cannot:
- Charge $20 for the first 30 minutes
- Then $15 for additional increments
within a single pricing rule.
Recommendation
Use simplified linear pricing structures whenever possible.
Reservation Groups Do Not Control Pricing
Limitation
Reservation groups cannot independently apply different pricing structures.
Result
Member/public pricing variations may require separate calendars or pricing strategies.
⚙️ Note: Reservation groups primarily control access and booking permissions.
Best Practices
Keep Pricing Structures Simple
Avoid overly complex timeframe combinations.
Simple pricing structures are:
- Easier for customers to understand
- Easier to troubleshoot
- Easier to maintain
Align Pricing with Operational Demand
Use pricing to influence reservation behavior.
Examples
| Goal | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Increase daytime traffic | Lower off-peak pricing |
| Maximize evening revenue | Raise peak pricing |
| Reduce short bookings | Increase minimum reservation length |
Review Pricing Seasonally
Update pricing based on:
- Seasonal demand
- Utilization reports
- Operational costs
- Customer booking trends
Document Pricing Logic Internally
Maintain internal notes for:
- Peak pricing periods
- Seasonal transitions
- Promotional pricing
- Reservation exceptions
This improves long-term consistency across staff teams.
Use Consistent Increment Structures
Keep similar facilities aligned.
Recommended Increment Standards
| Facility Type | Recommended Increment |
|---|---|
| Golf Simulators | 30 Minutes |
| Tennis Courts | 60 Minutes |
| Lesson Studios | 30 Minutes |
| Event Spaces | 60 Minutes |
