Preconditions:
Preconditions are the necessary settings, permissions, and items created in your software to allow the feature to work.
Access to the following module:
- Reports (only for part 2)
Steps: Part One
Follow the below steps to clock in and out:
- Log into the software
- Click on the top right dropdown and select Timeclock
- A box will pop up and display the employee currently logged into the software (if you need to switch employees, click Change Employee). Type in the password you use to log into the software, select the terminal you need to clock into using the Terminal dropdown, and click Clock In
- Repeat the above steps to clock out
Steps: Part Two
Follow the below steps to make adjustments to time sheets:
- Log into the software
- Click on the top left module dropdown and select Reports
- Find and select the Time Clock report
- Adjust your date range to fit your needs and click Run and the report will display all time punches during the date range you selected.(if you need to run the report for a specific employee, fill in the Employee field before running the report)
- If you need to make an adjustment to an existing time punch, click on the Total time of that shift as seen below:
- A box will pop up that will allow you to adjust the time punches
- If you need to create completely new time punches, click + Create New Entry next to the applicable employee and fill in the Shirt Start and Shift End fields
- Once you have made your needed adjustments, click Save
FAQ:
Q: Does an employee have to be the one logged into the software in order to also clock in/out?
A: No, any employee can be logged into the software. As long as the employee clicks on the top right dropdown, selects Timeclock, and then selects Change Employee to change it to themselves, they can then clock in/out without being the employee logged into the software at that time.
Q: Does an employee need to be clocked in to use the software?
A: No, an employee does not need to be clocked in to use the software.
Q: Can I restrict my employees from being able to clock in unless they are on the property?
A: Yes, you can restrict an employee from being able to clock in unless they are within 3 miles of your facility. Go Employees > Actions > Page Settings > Check the box Restrict Employee Clock-in to 3 miles > Save Changes. You must also allow location services in the web browser you are using to clock in.
