Preconditions:

Preconditions are the necessary settings, permissions, and items created in your software to allow the feature to work.

• Access to the Sales module
• Must be allowed to discount a sale per employee permissions

Steps:

Follow the below steps to discount a sale in the Sales module:

1. Go to the "Sales" tab.

2. Type in the appropriate Discount in the "Disc (%)" field and it will automatically be updated within your shopping cart.

FAQ:

Q: Can a dollar discount be applied in the "Disc (%)" field?

A: No, this field can only apply percentage discounts to the sale. To apply a one-time dollar discount to an item, you can change the price that displays in the "Price" field for the item.
