Overview:
This article will outline step-by-step instructions for setting up "Auto-Emailed Receipts." Auto-emailed receipts are point of sale receipts that are automatically sent to the customer making a transaction in either the Point of Sale or Food and Beverage modules. When activated, a receipt of their transaction will be automatically emailed to the email on their account.
Preconditions:
Preconditions are the necessary settings, permissions, and items created in your software to allow the feature to work.
- Access to the following modules:
- Sales
- Settings
Steps:
Follow the below steps to auto-email receipts:
1. Navigate to the "Settings" module.
2. Navigate to "Sales" tab > click "Printing and Terminals" > and select the Terminal you would like to auto-email receipts
3. Within the terminal settings, select "Yes" for the "Auto Email Receipt to Customer" setting
4. Save changes, refresh your screen, and navigate back to the sales module.
Verify
1. Make sure you are in the terminal that you would like to Auto-Email receipts. The name of the terminal will display in the top right of the screen
2. Add items to the cart, add the customer profile to the sale, and verify that the correct email is on file.
3. Complete the transaction.
4. An email will automatically send (a green notification will appear confirming receipt was sent).
4. Customer can view their receipt in their email inbox.
