Overview
The software has the ability to create a loyalty program that allows for customers to accrue loyalty points from transactions they make within specified departments or categories. This article will follow step-by-step instructions for setting up a loyalty point program.
Preconditions
Preconditions are the necessary settings, permissions, and items created in your software to allow the feature to work.
- Must have access to the settings module
Steps
1. Go to the Settings module
2. Select Loyalty
3. Check the 'Track Loyalty Points' setting and or 'Auto Enroll Loyalty' setting (auto-enroll allows all new customers to immediately start accumulating loyalty points).
4. Name your Loyalty Rate and define the items that will earn loyalty points by specifying the department, category, or item in the 'Department or Item' field
5. Specify how many points can be awarded/redeemed per transaction. Loyalty Points accumulate based on the following:
- How many points per dollar spent do customers earn? (This is the Points Awarded Per Dollar field).
- How many dollars back do customers get per 100 points they earn? (This is the Dollars Redeemable Per 100 Points field)
6. Select Save Settings in the top right corner of the screen.
