Overview:
Auto Gratuity can be setup to added to every F&B tab or setup to be enabled based on headcount at the table. This article will go over how to setup Auto Gratuity.
Preconditions:
Preconditions are the necessary settings, permissions, and items created in your software to allow the feature to work.
- Access to the F&B Module.
Steps:
Follow the below steps to setup auto gratuity:
- Go to Settings > Sales > Food & Beverage
- Enter Auto Gratuity Parameters:
- Auto Gratuity - The amount of auto gratuity in a percentage.
- Auto Gratuity Receipt Label - The label used for auto gratuity on customer receipts.
- Auto Gratuity Head Count Threshold - The number of guests that have to be seated at a table for auto gratuity to apply. (if all tabs qualify for auto gratuity, leave the threshold blank)
- Make Auto Gratuity a Service Fee - A service fee can be used a form of gratuity. Some states require that you tax service fees.
- Service Fee Tax Rate 1 - Tax on service fees will be handled identically to taxes on inventory items.
- Service Fee Tax Rate 2 - Tax on service fees will be handled identically to taxes on inventory item
- Use or Enable auto gratuity based on headcount in the F&B module.
- Option 1: (Auto Gratuity on all tabs in F&B)
- Leave the Guest Count blank and click Pay Now/Split. (Auto Gratuity will be added to the tip section)
- Option 1: (Auto Gratuity on all tabs in F&B)
- Option 2: (Auto Gratuity based on Headcount Threshold)
- Enter a Guest Count that exceeds your headcount threshold and click Pay Now/Split. (Auto Gratuity will be added to the tip section)
