How to Switch Employees between Tables

Overview:

The foreUP Food & Beverage module will allow you to switch the employee assigned to a tab or table. This article will go over the steps.

Preconditions:

Preconditions are the necessary settings, permissions, and items created in your software to allow the feature to work.

• Access to the F&B Module.

  • An open tab.

Steps:

Follow the below steps to switch employees between tables: 

1. Using the top-left module dropdown menu, select the Food & Beverage module.
2. Login using an Employee Pin. 
3. Right-click on the Tab or Table you want to switch employees on. A pop-up box with the text "Switch Employee" will appear. Click "Switch Employee".
4. In the Change Employee pop-up screen, click on the Employee or Search Employees to assign a new employee to the tab.
5. The selected employee will now be assigned as the employee on the tab.

FAQ:

Q: When switching employees on the tab, will the recipient of the tip also be updated automatically?

A: No. When adding the tip, the recipient will need to be updated to the employee that was switched to the table. Please see the article How to Add a Tip for more information about tips.
