Importing Gift Cards

Overview:

This article will explain how to import issued gift card data from a previous database into foreUP.

Preconditions:

Preconditions are the necessary settings, permissions, and items created in your software to allow the feature to work.

• Must have access to the Gift Card module

Steps:

Follow the below steps to import a gift card:

1. Go to the Gift Cards module. 

2. Click on the "Import Giftcards" button (found on the left side of the page).

3. Click "Download Import Excel Template (CSV)".

4. Open Excel document and erase the examples. (leave the top line header).

5. Fill in the needed Information for Each Gift Card. If the information is available in another document, copy and paste it over. (Gift Card Number and Gift Card Value are required to import)

6. "Save" the Excel document as a CSV file, then go back to foreUP. 

7. In "Import Giftcards" click on the "Choose File" button.

8. Find the saved Excel document and open it.

9. Click "Submit".
