Overview:
The purpose of this article is to walk through how to delete and edit an inventory item from your Inventory database.

Preconditions:
Preconditions are the necessary settings, permissions, and items created in your software to allow the feature to work.

Access to the Inventory Module
- Employee Permission to delete and edit an Inventory Item
Steps: Part One
Follow the below steps to Delete Single Inventory items:
- Go to the Inventory module.
- Find the item you are wanting to delete.
- From the dropdown option under the "Actions" column, click "Delete"
Steps: Part Two
Follow the below steps to Delete Multiple Inventory items at once:
- Go to the Inventory module.
- Find the items you are wanting to delete.
- Under the checkbox selection column on the left, check each of the boxes of the Inventory Items you would like to delete and in the bottom right corner click the "Delete" button in red
Steps: Part Three
Follow the below steps to Edit Inventory items:
- Go to the Inventory module.
- Find the item you would like to edit.
- From the dropdown option under the "Actions" column, click "Edit"
- In the Inventory Settings, make the necessary changes, then hit "Save Changes" in the bottom right-hand corner.
FAQ:
Q: Can I bring back a deleted Inventory Item?
A: Once an inventory item has been deleted, it cannot be restored back to your database. Please make sure to verify which customers you're deleting.
Q: Can I delete inventory items that have been previously sold in the Point of Sale?
A: Once an inventory item has been sold through the Point of Sale it cannot be deleted. You can however, deactivate the item so it is no longer an option to sell.
