How to Switch Your Worldpay Magtek USB Swiper into Keyboard Emulation Mode

1. Download and install this program.

2. Open it up and type in 01 10 01 into the Send Message box and click ‘Send Msg’ (as seen in the screen shot)
 


3. Unplug the swiper and plug it back in.

4. Test to make sure it is functioning properly.

TIPS:

 If the application is not sensing the USB swiper device or doesn't seem to let you "send" the message, unplug and plug back in the device to reset it.  This will need to be done again once the device message is sent and set.  

 To test that it works properly for ForeUP, Open up a word processing document (in Word, or word pad, etc.) and swipe a card. If characters are added to the document, it is set properly for functionality with ForeUP. If nothing happens, the procedure described failed and should be attempted again. 

Switch BACK to HID mode: (for use in other applications, NOT for ForeUP use)

If you need to change the swiper back to HID mode (NOT compliant with ForeUP but used in other applications on occasion), then simply repeat the procedure with the following code message:

01 10 00

This will deactivate it for ForeUP but may be required if repurposing the swiper for other applications.
