How to Order Custom Gift Cards, Member Cards, and More

Overview

foreUP works with a partner, Plastic Resource, who can provide your course with custom plastic cards! These cards can be used as gift cards, membership cards, season pass cards, employee cards, and more.

Preconditions

Your current credit card machine may not have the ability to read a gift card. You may need to purchase a separate, USB reader that you can purchase here.

Recommendations

1. We recommend purchasing bar code cards over magnetic strip gift cards. 
2. We recommend using only 4-6 digit cards

If you do choose to work with Plastic Resource, please follow the steps listed below to have your order processed: 

1. Designing your gift/loyalty card:  If you are going to design, attached is our card template (PDF attached) and artwork specifications.  If we are going to design, please read the artwork specifications so you forward your logo over to me in the right format.  Give me an idea of how you envision your card to look and my designer will take it from there.  Please note that we can do a simple design at no charge which means placing your logo, background color, and gift card on the front of the card and name, address, and phone with a general disclaimer (see attached Generic Disclaimers) on the back of the card.  A complex design will be charged at $75.00/hr.
2. Gift Card Carrier/Sleeve:  We offer custom carriers as well as stock generic carriers/sleeves (PDF attached).  Please choose whether you would like to go with one of our generic carriers or if you would like to have a custom one produced to match your gift card.
3. Encoding/Imaging: Please provide information as to how your card will need to be encoded and or imaged. If this information is unknown it will need to be obtained from your POS provider. We do work with many POS providers and are aware of many of their requirements so if you provide the name of your POS provider to us we can check to see if it is one that we are familiar with.
4. Order Confirmation:  Send an email confirming the quantity you would like to order and we will then begin processing your order.
5. Proof Approval: You will receive a pdf proof within 48 hours via email. Upon receipt of proof email, you will be prompted to view the proof and either click “approve” or “revise” proof, if approve is clicked you will then be prompted to enter your payment information (Credit Card Number), after entering this info you click submit and we receive an email of your proof approval and payment info.
6. Production: After your proof approval and payment info have been received your order goes into production and will ship in 4 to 9 working days. NOTE: Your credit card will NOT be charged until your order ships.

**Note: foreUP software uses track 1 and 2 when swiping and code 128 formatted barcodes. Hico cards are used.
